M-LFD Extricates 1 From MVA
On Friday, September 25, 2020, at approximately 9:50 p.m., M-LFD Companies 1, 2, 3, 5, and the Ambulance Unit were alerted to Searingtown Road in the vicinity of Estates Terrace North for a reported overturned car with entrapment. Deputy Chief Weisburd (8702) was the first to arrive on scene and confirmed an occupant trapped in a vehicle which was on its side. Ambulances 8767 and 8768 were the first units to arrive on scene and immediately began assessing the patient. R8713 was the first fire apparatus on scene and used its eDraulic combi-tool to begin the extrication process. After approximately 20 minutes, with the assistance of the crews from R8730, R8759, Q8728 and NCPD ESU, one occupant was freed from the auto and transported to an area hospital.
