Located in Manhasset, on Community Drive East, Company #2 is one of two ladder companies in the Manhasset-Lakeville Fire Department. Company #2 protects the communities of Manhasset, Plandome Heights, Flower Hill, Munsey Park, Strathmore and North Hills. The Company’s current apparatus includes Quint 8728, Tower Ladder 8720 and Engine 8725. Company #2 is the busiest of all five Manhasset-Lakeville fire companies and responds to over 650 incidents yearly. Company #2 is also the home of the Manhasset-Lakeville Fire Department’s Training Center, which includes two separate firefighting training props for all department members to use. The Manhasset-Lakeville Fire Department’s Police Unit Van (8790) is also housed at Company #2.
