On November 9, 2019, at approximately 11:47 p.m., All 5 M-LFD Fire Companies and the Ambulance Unit were dispatched to 45 12 Jason Avenue in Great Neck for a reported house fire. Ambulances 8767 and 8768 were the first to respond, and arrive on scene and advised the incoming fire units of "smoke showing" from the attic of a residential home. Q8728 was the first fire apparatus on scene, and located a fire in the attic, and Deputy Chief Weisburd (8702) transmitted a Signal 10, bringing the New Hyde Park Fire Department to the scene as a FAS Truck. The crew from Q8728 stretched a hoseline into the home to quickly knock down the fire, which had started on the first floor and traveled to the attic. Crews from all M-LFD Companies performed extensive overhaul, and all units were released from the scene shortly after 2 a.m.
