On Monday September 21st at approximately 8:30am Companies 3 and 5 were toned out for a vehicle fire on the eastbound Northern State Parkway at Marcus Ave. Engine 8756 was the first unit to respond and was advised by Manhasset-Lakeville Dispatch that via the traffic cams that it was an involved car fire. Upon arrival of Engine 8756 the crew placed (1) 1.75" handline into operation extinguishing the bulk of the fire. Squad 8759 and Engine 8735 also responded and assisted with overhaul and additional tank water. All units were placed back in service with 45 minutes.
