On April 7, 2016, the Manhasset-Lakeville Fire Department elected new Department officers. Scott Garrigan completed his term as Chief of Department and was presented with his Ex-Chief’s helmet by newly elected Chief of Department Mark Kiess. Chief Kiess (8701) will serve as the Chief of Department for 2016-2017. His Deputy Chiefs for 2016-2017 are: 1st Deputy Christopher Pisani (8702), 2nd Deputy Brian Stone (8705), 3rd Deputy Craig Gobbo (8704) and 4th Deputy William Mazurkiewicz (8703).
Also at this meeting, Michael Ward from Company # 5 completed his term as President of the Department and Konata Ragin of Company # 3 was sworn in as the new Department President. John Nash of Company # 2 was elected to the position of Vice President, Robert Fener of Company # 4 was elected to the position of Sergeant at Arms, Michael Fener of Company # 4 was elected to the position of Treasurer and Mitchell Levine of the Ambulance Unit was elected Department Secretary. Also elected were Brian Levings of Company # 4 to the position of Assistant Treasurer and Denis McGee of Company # 1 to the position of Judge Advocate.
